Getting to know Shakespeare

'Will works' provides teachers with innovative ideas for introducing students to Shakespeare. Three high interest areas provide the framework - the supernatural, crimes and criminals, and women in Shakespeare. A range of plays have been selected to highlight points about language, themes, social contexts, characters, story and humour. Students act out, design, read, write and work in groups on a range of engaging activities.

Plays include Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, The Merchant of Venice, Antony and Cleopatra and others.
